Does the Clan Cian-Carroll website represent the Cianachta?

The information posted to the ClanCian-Carrol website does little to display an accurate view of the peoples, places, traditions, culture or history(s) of the members of the Cianachta group. It has been well documented that there are approximately 47 surnames descended from Cian.

Though the website boasts family surname connections of approximately 400 surnames. Many are not descended from Cian. In fact, several are not even of Ireland. Names like, Berry, Bonass, Bone, Bowen, Carvill, O’Casey, Cassell, Castles, MacClanaghan, MacClenaghan, Coghrane, O’Conor, Corcoran, Delahunty, Delahunt, De La Hunt, O’Flanagan, O’Gara, Garvill, Geary, Hagerty, O’Hara, Healy, Hegarty, Hely, Hunt, Karwell, Kehoe, Keogh, MacKeogh, Maher, Meagher, Nevin, MacNevin, Owens, get little or no attention, on this site.

Its almost as though the Clan Cian-Carroll site has little concern for the history of the families descended from Cian; several of which held positions of historical significance. Though these names are listed on the family connections page, as well as many, many others of other descent; there is little or no information, concerning the connections claimed.

While a few of these listed names have relatively limited, documented histories, others such as the O'Conners have significant histories, well documented, but seemingly omitted from the Clan Cian web pages. While other surnames, have been very well documented [i.e. O'Conner, Ryans, Maegher, O'Kennedy, O'Dwyers, Egans, and O'Brien among others] and hold rather significant positions within the history of Ireland. While others still have been seemingly fabricated, to include titles that do not exist, in regions of the world other than that in which the descent of Cian has had any significant bearing.
